How to use the movie night picker wheel
Turn a familiar starter watchlist into a movie-night decision. Add films everyone is willing to watch and remove titles that do not fit the evening.

Make the result useful
Check availability, runtime, and suitability for your audience before drawing. The wheel does not check streaming services.
Edit the sample entries, then click SPIN in the center of the wheel. Use Settings for the winner count, spin duration, and automatic removal.
Confirm the selected title and plan the start time. Enable removal if you want to work through the list over several movie nights.
The active Entries list supplies the wheel and its Groups and Random Rank panels. Edit that list when you want different participants or choices.

Add one item per line in Entries. Shuffle changes the order; Edit weights changes each eligible entry’s chance on the wheel. The sample list is a starting point, not a complete catalog.

Did you know?
The wheel treats each title as a label. Listing an alternate title or another edition on a second line gives it another entry rather than merging the two automatically.
With the original list and equal weights, each entry has a 1 in 8 chance on a single spin. Adding entries, removing them, disabling them, or changing weights changes that calculation.

Movie Night Picker Wheel FAQs
Will the wheel tell me where a movie is streaming?
No. It chooses a title from your list. Check availability yourself before the spin, or replace unavailable titles with options you can watch.
Can I work through my watchlist without repeats?
Enable automatic winner removal. Keep a JSON backup of the original list so you can restore it after working through the films.
Can I change the wheel’s entries and appearance?
Yes. Add or remove lines in Entries, choose a palette in Customize, and use Add image before Export for a background or image-filled wheel. Settings controls spin behavior and multiple winners. The page keeps the same wheel features as the homepage.
Will my changes still be here next time?
Changes are saved in this browser, separately for this page. Reloading reopens this page’s saved workspace rather than adding another wheel. Clearing site data can delete it, so keep a complete wheel JSON export.
Can I share a customized version?
Share opens an editable wheel copy with your entries, weights, settings, and any uploaded image. It does not synchronize later changes or include your spin history. Anyone with the link can read its data.
